I’ll make a filling using pumpkin and purple sweet potato. After taking out all the seeds from the pumpkin, this time i’ll try to steam it. I hope this size is good enough…? Once the hot water boils, i’ll set the pumpkin on top. After about 15 minutes use a toothpick to check if it’s done. * The alarm rings. It looks pretty good at 15 minutes. (It might depend on the heat level too?) Oh~ It looks pretty good! The pumpkin looks really fresh, doesn’t it?~ It looks softer than if you use a microwave but the amount might change… Let’s strain it now. Now, after washing the purple sweet potatoes, we’ll steam them too. Even though I peeled the sweet potatoes after steaming them in this video, it’s better to do it beforehand. The water’s color turned blue! Since I already mentioned I forgot to peel the potatoes before steaming them, I’ll be peeling them my style. Very good! Sweet potatoes’ texture is tougher, so it was harder to strain them. We’ll be adding white chocolate to the pumpkin and mixing it. There so much of it, but it was a mistake adding it all to the sweet potatoes…. Boil some fresh cream and mix it together with the white chocolate. It solidified a little while I was filming it… Add in the pumpkin and mix it. It’s the same as the Mont Blanc previously made. Fill the mold with the mixture and leave it in the fridge. Here’s the result of my mistake with the sweet potatoes. That’s why the color is a bit different from what I expected…. That’s why I changed the mixture to butter and caster sugar instead. Yay, now it’s starting to show a more Halloween-y color. Dorayaki patties.(dough) I’ll try and use hotcake mix(pancake mix) for this. I would usually not just dump it like this but I want to mix it with cocoa powder. In another bowl, mix sugar, mirin, honey and a raw egg. Now, the raw egg. ?? It’s boiled…. It wasn’t meant to be this way… This is the limit…. Scramble the egg. After that add some milk and mix it all again. Then mix that all together with the powder mixture. Pour some oil on an iron fry pan. I’ll be frying the patties now. Because they are supposed to be mini, using one teaspoon will be enough. Once the mixture starts bubbling, turn it over. When picking the container, make sure it’s properly cooled. I’ll be putting the pumpkin chocolate filling between the patties now. It looks good this way! The texture of the sweet potato isn’t as maleable so I’ll be molding it myself. Add some powdered sugar… Let’s take out “That” special something… Oi cacao scatter! scatter! scater! … ∴∵ゞ(´ω`*)♪ and more… Happy Hallowee~~~~n Success! Looks very Halloween-ish, probably not very presentable with other combinations haha Bon appetit~! The pumpkin has a very balanced taste. It would’ve been better to make the patties a bit softer. The sweet potato’s sweetness is moderate. I like it but since it’s a Japanese sweet you can add twice the sugar amount. Thank you for the meal~ This time, I think the Halloween feeling got a little lost but steaming raw vegetables and using them in a dessert was a good learning experience for me.
